The Quinte Ballet School of Canada has focused on the needs and dreams of aspiring young dancers since 1972.

The School was established by Brian Scott, the Founding Artistic Director. With thirty-five years of excellence in dance, the Quinte Ballet School of Canada has evolved into a highly respected member of the national and international dance community. The School is a non-profit, charitable organization, operated by a well qualified artistic and administrative staff and a volunteer Board of Directors. The School is proud of its many graduates who have entered the dance profession and now perform in major Canadian and international dance companies.

The Quinte Ballet School of Canada is situated in Belleville, Ontario, a location that provides easy access to the main centres of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Several U.S. cities are also within one day's travel. Belleville, located on the Bay of Quinte, is a community-minded centre with a population of 46,000. It offers a variety of outdoor activities and entertainment options and is home to many artists and artisans who provide a broad range of cultural pursuits to students.

Completed in January of 2002, the School's 20,000 square foot facility is one of the best professional dance training centres in Canada. With its six large studios, student study, change rooms, lounge and physiotherapy areas, the School offers students a broad range of amenities.

The School strongly believes in the importance of a healthy body in the production of a successful dancer.

To this end, students have access to the advice and counselling of a broad range of professionals.

The professional programme has a limited enrolment and acceptance is by audition only. Those seeking entrance to the programme must also attend the four-week Summer School as part of their International Audition Tour.

To those students studying dance from the United States or international areas, the School offers an exceptional programme with competitive rates.
