Don't Wait in the Wings

Students of the Quinte Ballet School of Canada have a busy performing schedule from September to July, offering plenty of opportunities to perform in a wide variety of settings. Two of the most important educational activities are our performances held each winter and spring.  Learning a broad spectrum of repertoire and choreographic styles is an important part of the students’ education.

Also important is the opportunity to have choreography created on the students and to learn how to participate in the creative process with a professional choreographer. QBSC has contacts with some of the most innovative and current teachers and choreographers today. Recently, the students have had the opportunity to work with teachers from Denmark, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Paris and Houston.

Spring Showcase

Spring Showcase is always an exciting time for the students as they have the opportunity to work with both choreographers and teachers on a mixed program of various repertoire and new choreography. These popular performances showcase the professional students as the culmination of their year’s work comes to fruition.

Summer Dance Performance

The Summer Dance program is yet another opportunity for the professional students and visiting Summer Dance students to be showcased.  Traditionally held on the last afternoon of the program, the dancers present a celebration of music and dance to their visiting friends and families, as well as members of the public.
