Don't Wait in the Wings

Early Dance I and II (age 3-6)

Children explore movement through music rhythm, sounds and speech as they gain spatial awareness through movement and creative expression.  These classes lay the groundwork for dance or any other related discipline that requires coordination, social interaction and creativity. This class is designed for 3-6 year-olds and can be a one or two-year course.

Ballet

Formal instruction in Classical Ballet starts at the primary level.  Ballet classes are also taught to give the student as varied a background as possible, and students are exposed to a wide range of teachers.

Pointe

A beginner and advanced class are offered to students who have reached a qualifying level of ballet, they are taking two classes per week, and have received a one-on-one consultation to determine their ability to meet the demands of dancing on pointe.

Jazz

This class focuses on the development of technique through the ADAPT syllabus program and is designed to develop the dancer’s ease of movement, posture, placement and coordination.

Tap

The tap classes are geared towards learning to use your body as an instrument designed to develop basic coordination and rhythms.  As you advance through the program, you gain skill, sound quality and clarity. 

Contemporary

This class is a combination of Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Stretch.  This gives the student a thorough dance education in how the body moves using body contractions and gravity while emphasizing posture, alignment, emotional development and flexibility.

Hip Hop

This class focuses on the present dance craze.  Today’s music and environment have helped Hip Hop to become a dance style all its own.  Little or no dance is experience is required to participate in these classes.

FLAMENCO

Flamenco is a traditional dance from Spain that develops the student's appreciation of this cultural art form. Through Flamenco a dancer gains expression and strength as it involves complex footwork and rythmical phrasing.

BROADWAY

Broadway, a vibrant and contemporary dance idiom, reflects the musical theatre productions such as Chicago, Cats, West Side Story and Mama Mia.

BOYsDANCE

Movement classes especially designed for boys that focus on self-discipline, music, athleticism, and performance.
