RECREATION DANCE ADULT CLASSES

Adult classes are open to individuals 16 and older, and offer exceptional instruction from professional teachers within climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facilities. From beginner to advanced levels, there will be something in the program for you to choose from.  Classes are interactive and a great way to stay in shape.

TERM 1: (12 Weeks) September 13 to December 6, 2021

TERM 2: (10 Weeks) January 3 to March 12, 2022

TERM 3: (10 Weeks) March 21 to May 28, 2022

CLASSES

ADULT BALLET 1
Great for beginners or for those new to ballet. The fundamentals of ballet technique and basic alignment will be covered in a fun, easy to approach manner.
Duration:  60 minutes


ADULT BALLET 2

A faster paced, more physically demanding class than Adult Ballet 1. A greater repertoire of ballet steps and technique will be explored with elements of contemporary dance.

Duration: 75 minutes


ADULT BARRE

This all level class is aimed to work the legs and glutes. Take the stuffiness out of ballet and enjoy a fast paced barre class danced to today’s music.

Duration: 45 minutes


ADULT MODERN
A fun contemporary dance class that enhances flexibility, fitness and strength. Uses more on-the-floor space, with movement that is expressive and creative.
Duration:  45 minutes


ADULT TAP
A beginner to intermediate tap class that covers basic tap steps and combinations, with simple choreography.
Duration:  45 minutes


YOGA

An all level vinyasa flow class with equal focus on strength and flexibility combined with breath control practice.

Duration: 60 mintes


DRESS CODE

OUTFIT:  Comfortable clothing such as yoga pants and t-shirts that allow you to move.  Leotards are optional for ballet classes.
SHOES: Footwear depends on the class. Adult Ballet: Ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Adult Modern: Bare feet or socks. Adult Tap: Tap shoes.

EQUIPMENT: For adult yoga, please bring your own yoga mat.
