SUMMER DANCE AT QBSC

JULY 6th – AUGUST 31st

   

ADULT BEGINNER BALLET 

Great for those new to ballet. The fundamentals of ballet technique and basic alignment will be covered in a fun, easy to approach manner. |  60mins

Mondays 6:45-8:00 | Full Term $170 | Drop-In $25


ADULT INTERMEDIATE BALLET 

A faster paced, more physically demanding class than Adult Beginner Ballet. A greater repertoire of ballet steps and technique will be explored with elements of contemporary dance. 75mins

ADULT ADVANCED BALLET 

A faster paced, more physically demanding class than Adult Intermediate Ballet. Advanced choreography and allegro will be covered. 90 mins

ADULT CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary dance brings elements of ballet and modern together for a dynamic and expressive style that is a favourite with our students. 60 mins.

Wednesday 6:00-7:00 | Full Term $160 | Drop-In $23


ADULT TAP

A beginner to intermediate tap class that covers basic tap steps and combinations, with simple choreography. 60 mins.

ADULT THEATRE JAZZ 

Theatre Jazz, also known as Broadway jazz, is a dynamic dance style that blends traditional jazz dance techniques with theatrical storytelling and character development.  It often incorporates energetic movements, including leaps, turns, and strong isolations of body parts.  Class will include choreography which we will film at the end of the unit that can be used in student’s socials if they choose.

BARRE WORKOUT

A fun, energetic workout with elements of ballet, yoga and pilates. | 30 mins

HIP HOP

An all level, energetic hip hop class. |  45mins

YOGA

A vinyasa flow.  Sun salutations, standing, seated poses covered.  All levels. | 45mins

The natural feminine movement encourages proper posture, strengthens and tones the upper and lower back, the rib cage, pelvic floor and stomach.

ADULT DRESS CODE

**All items can be ordered through our Uniform Shop.**

OUTFIT:  

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move (ie. Yoga pants and t-shirt).  Bodysuits are optional for ballet classes.

SHOES:

Ballet: Ballet slippers (canvas or leather), or socks

Contemporary & Belly Dance: Bare feet or socks

Tap: Tap shoes

Jazz: Jazz shoes

Hip Hop: clean indoor running shoes/sneakers
